Hybribio Biotech supports Xinjiang to fight the epidemic with high quality and high efficiency, promoting nucleic acid testing
On July 24th, Hybribio’s technical team assembled at Urumqi Airport to support Xinjiang in fighting against the epidemic. They represented Hybribio’s professional strength in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Nanjing, Zhengzhou, Xi’an, and Heilongjiang, and fully supported Xinjiang’s novel coronavirus nucleic acid detection work with mission.
Hybribio Aid Xinjiang Anti-epidemic Team
Two days ago, Hybribio Xi’an Medical Laboratory received a call from the Xinjiang Region’s Novel Coronavirus Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters, stating its intentions - the local area was raided by a wave of novel coronavirus infections, and the CDC needed to complete the entire screening project within one week, that is, carry out COVID-19 nucleic acid testing for more than 60,000 people. However, there are currently only two laboratories, which can only undertake the test volume of around 1,000 people per day, and face great difficulties in improving the testing capacity.
The limited detection capacity in Xinjiang has been highly valued by the senior leaders of Hybribio. The management team quickly organized coordination meetings to arrange assistance operations in Xinjiang, mobilized resources from various regions overnight, and selected 16 specialists from various medical laboratories across the country, forming a technical team to aid Xinjiang in fighting the epidemic. The specialists immediately set off from various places to Xinjiang to support epidemic prevention and testing work. At the same time, despite the shortage of testing equipment in various medical laboratories across the country, the Hybribio team tried its best to coordinate and deploy several PCR fluorescence machine, automatic nucleic acid extractors, tens of thousands of tubes of novel coronavirus nucleic acid detection reagents, protective materials, etc. They were also sent to the frontline of Xinjiang's anti-epidemic.
Every member of the technical experts of the anti-epidemic team has gone through the fight against epidemic before, so they have rich anti-epidemic experience, and are proficient in professional technology. With the mission of protecting the health of the people and the security of the country, they help the locals quickly improve the daily nucleic acid detection capacity, and strive to increase the detection capacity from 1,000 to 10,000 in order to cope with the task of large-scale nucleic acid testing, so as to find suspected patients in time, block the source of disease, and cut off the chain of transmission, which controls the epidemic from the root cause.
Xinjiang local media interviewed the Hybribio anti-epidemic team member
As the leader of the in vitro diagnostic reagent industry in the country, Hybribio relies on its own mature nucleic acid testing capabilities and the nationwide network of medical laboratories to provide strong testing support for epidemic prevention and control work. Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus epidemic, 18 medical laboratories across the country have been included in the novel coronavirus virus nucleic acid testing institutions designated by the Health Commission to fully engage in the fight against the epidemic. In the 2019-nCoV nucleic acid testing laboratory quality evaluation conducted by the National Health Commission's Interim Inspection Center, all participating laboratories successfully passed the quality evaluation with qualified and excellent results. With its high-quality technical testing level and mature service experience, Hybribio assists government screening, resumption of work and school, and immigration testing.
In the past 6 months of the epidemic, the Hybribio inspection team has accumulated valuable experience. By continuously optimizing detection methods and sorting out the inspection process, a new model of nationwide joint anti-epidemic and collective extreme combat was explored, and this model was replicated in the large-scale screening work of Wuhan Ten-day Battle, rush to Beijing and other places to ensure quality and quantity meet the needs of the government and the people, and build a protective shield for the people across the country to fight the epidemic. As of now, the cumulative number of nucleic acid tests carried out by Hybribio Biotechnology across the country has exceeded 2 million.
With the professional technical team and materials in place, Hybribio will make every effort to help Xinjiang complete nucleic acid testing tasks with high quality and efficiency, and have firm confidence in winning the battle of epidemic prevention an
